Abstract

This research aims to determine information mapping regarding trends and novelty of research on Bayesian Statistics in Engineering (BSE). The research method applied in this study was Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) using 336 articles sourced from the Dimensions database from 2004 to 2023. The articles were analyzed using the VOSviewer application. The research results reveal that the number of citations on the BSE topic has increased, the category in the SDGs is mostly Good Health and Well Being, the journal with the most is Applied Mechanics and Materials, network visualization on the BSE topic provides information for finding novelty, there are 8 clusters in terms of co-occurrence, overlay visualization on the BSE topic provides direction and trends on research topics, density visualization on the BSE topic shows areas that are still rare, and there are 33 clusters in terms of co-authorship. Thus, these findings illustrate the trend and novelty for research on the topic of BSE. The results of this research contribute to the development of a research roadmap on BSE. The limitation of this research is that the articles used only come from database dimensions so that the research findings cannot comprehensively describe the BSE issue in the world. It is recommended that future research use scientific articles sourced from other reputable international databases such as Web of Science and Scopus.
